Overview
FuseCapy on iOS is a client for a FuseCapy server that you choose and configure. The app does not include advertising or third-party analytics, and we do not sell your personal information or use it to track you across apps or websites.
Information sent to your configured server is handled by that server's operator and by any service providers configured on that server. If you operate the server yourself, you control those processing choices. If another person or organization operates it, their privacy terms also apply.
Information the app handles
Server connection information
The app stores the server address, access token, and related connection preferences on your device so it can connect to the server you select. The app and share extension share this information through an iOS app group. Connection credentials are sent only to the configured server as needed to authenticate requests.
Messages, files, and shared content
When you send a message, command, photo, file, link, or other item, the app transmits that content to your configured server to perform the action you requested. The app may keep local copies of conversations, downloaded content, and display data to provide history and improve performance. The share extension accesses only the items you choose to share. If you choose its photo-album feature, it can also save selected images to your Photos library.
Camera and photo library
With your permission, the app can use the camera to capture an image and can access photos you select. Selected or captured media is used for the action you requested, such as sending it in a conversation, saving a shared image, or choosing an in-app appearance image.
Microphone and speech recognition
With your permission, the app uses the microphone for voice input. If you select Apple speech recognition, audio and transcription are handled through Apple's speech-recognition services according to Apple's terms and privacy practices. If you select Online speech recognition, the recording is sent to your configured FuseCapy server, which may send it to the speech provider configured by that server. The iOS app does not keep the temporary recording after the transcription request completes or is cancelled.
Local network access
The app requests local-network access so it can reach a FuseCapy server running on a Mac or another device on your network. It does not use this permission to build a profile of other devices on your network.
Diagnostics
The app creates diagnostic logs on your device to help identify errors and connection problems. Logs may be uploaded to your configured server when you use the upload-logs control or when the authenticated server requests them for diagnostics. Logs may contain technical details such as request status, feature state, and server addresses.
How information is used
The app uses information only to:
- connect to and authenticate with your selected FuseCapy server;
- send requests and display responses;
- provide voice, camera, photo, sharing, media, and related features;
- store your settings and maintain local history and caches; and
- diagnose reliability and connection problems.
When information is shared
The app shares information with the FuseCapy server you configure and, when required for a feature you choose, with services used by that server. Apple may process information when you use Apple speech recognition or other Apple platform services. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect users, the public, or our legal rights.
We do not share information with advertising networks or data brokers.
Storage, retention, and deletion
Settings, credentials, diagnostic logs, conversation history, and cached content stored by the app remain on your device until removed by the app, cleared by iOS, or deleted when you remove the app. Content stored on a FuseCapy server follows the retention and deletion rules set by that server's operator.
To delete server-side content or request access, correction, or deletion, use the controls provided by your server or contact its operator. For a FuseCapy service operated by us, contact us using the address below. You can revoke camera, photo, microphone, speech, and local-network permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
Security
You control which server the app connects to. Use a server you trust and use HTTPS when connecting over the internet. A server configured with plain HTTP does not provide transport encryption, although iOS may allow it for local-network connections.
Children's privacy
FuseCapy on iOS is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a service we operate, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app changes. We will publish the revised policy on this page and update the effective date above.
